Tigermilk is the debut album by indie rock group Belle & Sebastian, released on June 6, 1996. It is the first of two album that were recorded and released by the group, and was followed by their critically acclaimed If You're Feeling Sinister later that year. Both albums feature songs primarily written between 1993 and 1996, while lead songwriter Stuart Murdoch was suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Opener "The State I'm In" was featured at #17 in Pitchfork's Best 200 Tracks of the 1990s.
